Ibrahim Hassan

Ibrahim Umar Hassan is a Deputy Director in the Financial System Strategy (FSS 2020) Secretariat of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

With over two decades of Central Banking experience covering Operations, Strategy, Knowledge Management and Financial Consumer Protection regulation in the Nigerian banking sector, Mr. Hassan currently heads the Strategy Management Group in the FSS 2020 Secretariat overseeing the development and implementation of FSS 2020 strategic initiatives in the Financial Markets, Mortgages, Pensions, Insurance and MSMEs sectors.

Mr. Hassan is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. He is also a 2019 FLPFI Fellow of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
