Mark Elliott is Division President of Mastercard, Sub-Saharan Africa. He is responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction, and brand development of Mastercard in Sub-Saharan Africa. His role includes scaling of the latest payments technologies to drive financial inclusion.
Mark joined Mastercard in 2011, from Barclays Bank, as Global Products and Solutions Lead, based in Dubai, where he had responsibility for all products and solutions across the Middle East and Africa region. In 2014, he moved to Johannesburg as Division President, South Africa. His coverage area has now increased to include Sub-Saharan Africa.

He had three decades of distinguished banking career and voluntarily retired from active banking service after a six years tenure as Bank MD/CEO.
Dr. Aina is the inaugural Chairman of Global Council of Global Banking Education Standards Board (GBEStB) 2017 to date, a past President of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN 2012 to 2014), and past president of the West African Bankers Association (Nigeria Chapter) 2001.
A tech visionary who set up Fintech Associates Ltd as far back as 2002, he is founding President, Fintech Association of Nigeria (FTAN), initiator and founding President of the Africa Fintech Network (AFN), Founder/Chairman, The Fintech Institute (TFI) among others.

Mr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu is a vastly experienced banker and financial expert, trained in reputable institutions of learning in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and United States of America.
Mr. Onyeagwu is a graduate of Accounting from Auchi Polytechnic where he obtained the Ordinary National diploma in 1984 and Higher National Diploma in 1987. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 while he was still undergoing the compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) post graduation and was named a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) in 2003.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Oxford, England, from where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy, and certificate in Macroeconomics. He also undertook extensive executive level business education in Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia Business School of Columbia University, the Harvard Business School of Harvard University (all in the United States) and Lagos Business School of the Pan African University, Nigeria.
He has nearly 30 years’ experience in the banking industry in Nigeria. He joined Zenith Bank Plc in 2002 as a Senior Manager, in the Internal Control and Audit Group of the bank. His professionalism, competence, integrity and commitment to the set objectives of the bank saw him rise swiftly between 2003 and 2005, first, as Assistant General Manager, then Deputy General Manager, and eventually as General Manager of the bank. In these capacities, he handled strategies for new business and branch development, management of risk assets portfolios, treasury functions, strategic top level corporate, multinationals and public institutional relationships, among others.
As Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Onyeagwu has oversight over the bank’s Financial Control and Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Retail Banking, Institutional and Corporate banking business portfolios, IT Group, Credit Administration, Treasury and Foreign Exchange Trading, as well as general administration of the bank, among others.
He was named Executive Director of the bank in 2013, and put in charge of Lagos and South-South Zones as well as strategic groups/business units of the bank including Financial Control & Strategic Planning, Treasury and Correspondent Groups, Human Resources Group, Oil and Gas Group, and Credit Risk Management Group, etc. He was named Deputy Managing Director of the bank in 2016.

Professor Umar Garba Danbatta is the Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). He is currently serving a second term of five years in office, following the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020.
Danbatta earned his BEng, MSc degrees from the Technical University of Wroclaw in Poland and received his PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
The multiple award-winning professor successfully spearheaded the attainment and surpassing of Nigeria’s national broadband target in 2018, and he is currently among those leading the charge for the realization of the new national broadband target of 70% by 2025, after the country achieved and surpassed its earlier national target of 30% penetration in 2018.
Through effective regulatory regime and various cutting-edge initiatives, Danbatta has strengthened the role of telecommunications sector as a major contributor to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, and boosted telecoms investment inflows from $36 billion to over $70 billion since 2015, among others.
Before his appointment to lead NCC in 2015, Danbatta, who is a professor of telecommunications engineering, had worked in academia as lecturer where he supervised more than 60 PhD, MEng and BEng projects in diverse areas of telecommunications, rising to the position of Acting Vice-Chancellor in a Nigerian university.
He was the Vice-President of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), an international centre for advanced communications studies established in 2004 by the Commission (NCC) for capacity in diverse areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
While at DBI, Danbatta developed expertise in the following major areas of ICT implementation, policy and regulation, including Regulation of the Telecommunications Sector of the Nigerian Economy; Competition, Interconnection and Price Regulations in a Developing Economy; and Issues Concerning Authorization of Telecommunications Services in a Developing Economy.
The other areas of his expertise are Strategies for ensuring Universal Access and Service to Telecommunications Services; Strategies towards Effective Spectrum Management in a Developing Economy; Issues on Institutional and Legal Framework for Effective Regulation of Telecommunications Services; and, New and Emerging Technologies and Impact on Regulation of the Telecommunications Sector of a Developing Economy, among others.
He is a recipient of scores of distinguished awards and certificates of honour both nationally and internationally, including the prestigious Zik Prize in Professional Leadership. Recognized as an entrepreneur, technology operator, and investor with vast experience working in Africa’s most significant economic market, he brings expertise across several sectors, including venture capital, technology, media, agriculture, infrastructure, publishing, and real estate, and a significant interest in the arts.
Through Ventures Platform Foundation, he works on advocacy, research, and social impact initiatives that support youth entrepreneurship and innovation. He is the Chairman of the Board of Ventures Park – an artsy Co-working space, VP’s flagship Innovation Hub Campus. He is a mentor on XL Africa, the World Bank Accelerator, and Google Launchpad Accelerator. He is also a board member and advisory board member of various organizations ranging from ARM Financial Advisers Limited, Reliance HMO, and the Yemisi Shyllon Art Museum.
Kola studied Electrical Engineering and then secured a Master’s in Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance. He has received further education from Berkeley University, Harvard University, and the Lagos Business School.
Kola is passionate about mentoring and advising young entrepreneurs who are creating solutions for mass underserved -markets. This has put him on many stages both locally and internationally, where he has delivered speeches, lectures, and talks on technology, entrepreneurship, social change, and various other topics. He gave a TED talk at TEDxEuston where he spoke on the topic “Who will own our future unicorns?”. He was also a speaker at Techcrunch’s first event in Nigeria, Techcrunch Startup Battlefield Africa 2019.

A Thought Leader and business champion with 30 years of experience in defining strategy, developing organizational structure, building diverse winning teams, and delivering results. She is co-founder of CreditRegistry Corporation, a software technology company headquartered in Washington State, USA. In 2014, she was appointed substantive MD/CEO of CreditRegistry Nigeria, the country’s pioneer and largest credit bureau operator, and successfully grew the company to profitability by 858%.
Under her leadership, CreditRegistry has been selected as one of Africa’s Top 20 Most Innovative companies by Financial Times Magazine, awarded the Product Leadership Award for Credit Reporting and Risk Management Enterprise Software by Frost & Sullivan, recognized as Nigeria’s Best Credit Bureau Service Provider by Capital Finance International and received the M&A Today Global Award for Best Strategic Technical Partnership Firm of the Year.
