Raghav Prasad is the Mastercard Division President for Sub-Saharan Africa.
In his current role, Raghav is leading exciting acceleration of Mastercard’s businesses across thirty-two countries, articulating & driving strategy, managing the P&L across all business lines and leading all functions. He also leads the charge on Mastercard’s mission of driving inclusive growth and deploying innovative payment solutions and partnering with issuers, merchants, acquirers, fintechs, governments and market regulators.
Previously at Mastercard, he undertook the role of President – Mastercard Payment Gateway Services, running the global gateway business, and, General Manager (Gulf Countries) leading the P&L across the GCC markets of KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman & Bahrain, catapulting the business to very significant revenue and share gains.
With extensive experience in B2C and B2B payments, consumer banking and wealth management, prior to Mastercard, he held a number of global, regional and country leadership roles at RBS, Worldpay & Citibank across GCC, Sub-Saharan and North Africa, Europe, UK, US and Asia. At RBS Group, he first led the Global Commercial Cards to a global 9th position, and then Global Merchant Services, leading it during its carve-out from RBS to becoming WorldPay.

Akin Jones is the Co-founder and CEO of Aella. Prior to this, Akin held key investment banking roles in Africa & North America. Working with Technology/M&A Investment Banking Teams at Primera Africa, Wachovia Securities, BGL Investment Bank, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and UBS. Akin graduated with a degree in International Business & Finance from Howard University and is one of a very few individuals that have completed three of the leading Technology accelerator programs, Y Combinator, 500 Startups, and the Barclays Rise Accelerator.
Professor Umar Garba Danbatta is the Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). He is currently serving a second term of five years in office, following the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020.
Danbatta earned his BEng, MSc degrees from the Technical University of Wroclaw in Poland and received his PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
The multiple award-winning professor successfully spearheaded the attainment and surpassing of Nigeria’s national broadband target in 2018, and he is currently among those leading the charge for the realization of the new national broadband target of 70% by 2025, after the country achieved and surpassed its earlier national target of 30% penetration in 2018.
Through effective regulatory regime and various cutting-edge initiatives, Danbatta has strengthened the role of telecommunications sector as a major contributor to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, and boosted telecoms investment inflows from $36 billion to over $70 billion since 2015, among others.
Before his appointment to lead NCC in 2015, Danbatta, who is a professor of telecommunications engineering, had worked in academia as lecturer where he supervised more than 60 PhD, MEng and BEng projects in diverse areas of telecommunications, rising to the position of Acting Vice-Chancellor in a Nigerian university.
He was the Vice-President of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), an international centre for advanced communications studies established in 2004 by the Commission (NCC) for capacity in diverse areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
While at DBI, Danbatta developed expertise in the following major areas of ICT implementation, policy and regulation, including Regulation of the Telecommunications Sector of the Nigerian Economy; Competition, Interconnection and Price Regulations in a Developing Economy; and Issues Concerning Authorization of Telecommunications Services in a Developing Economy.
The other areas of his expertise are Strategies for ensuring Universal Access and Service to Telecommunications Services; Strategies towards Effective Spectrum Management in a Developing Economy; Issues on Institutional and Legal Framework for Effective Regulation of Telecommunications Services; and, New and Emerging Technologies and Impact on Regulation of the Telecommunications Sector of a Developing Economy, among others.
He is a recipient of scores of distinguished awards and certificates of honour both nationally and internationally, including the prestigious Zik Prize in Professional Leadership. His strides in reviving the Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) and the introduction of harmonized national emergency communication number, 112, helped the NCC to win the International Public Relations Association Golden Award in the year 2000, as the centers played a pivotal role in containing the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
Prof. Danbatta has served two terms of five years as a Member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is a Fellow of many professional bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAEng), Renewable and Alternative Energy Society (RAES) and Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE).

Prior to co-founding CFTE, Tram Anh navigated between the corporate and entrepreneurial world. She has a diverse background in finance with many years of experience having worked in trading, institutional sales and private banking for major financial institutions such as Standard Chartered in New York, Dresdner Kleinwort and UBS. Of Vietnamese origin, Tram Anh was born in France and lived in Paris, New York and now London, she provides a great understanding of both Asian and Western cultures and is always keen to bring the best of them together.
Tosin Eniolorunda is the founder and CEO of TeamApt, a Financial Software company focused on building solutions and running infrastructure for banks, businesses and people to manage their money. Since inception in 2015, Tosin has transformed TeamApt into an organisation selling to multiple countries and with a seven-figure dollar revenue.
Before starting TeamApt with five other founding members, Tosin served as a product manager and Software Architect at Interswitch for 6 years.
He enjoys the thrills of the challenges and risks of starting and nurturing enterprises that affect humanity and finds it fulfilling to lead a team of talented individuals towards achieving a worthy ideal, changing the status quo and making a mark.

Zubair Ahmed is the Executive Vice President & General Manager of Middle East & Africa for VeriPark. Previous to this role, Zubair spent nearly 3 decades in challenging leadership roles, at the heart of the Finance Technology industry. A Harvard Alumni, with 29+ years of IT & financial industry experience, he enjoys being customer-facing and engaging businesses in the strategic use of technology. Excels in enterprise transformation, has led and produced compelling results in creating business innovation at the grassroots of the organization. As the Chairman of the UAE Banking Federation (UBF) IT Committee, Zubair led the technology agenda for banks, enabling collaborations and advisory, across Banks and with Regulators. In his new challenge, Zubair spearheads VeriPark’s quest towards “Enabling Banks, Go Digital”.
As an ardent speaker and life coach, Zubair is regularly featured in numerous conferences around the world. In the Fintech space, Zubair has served as a mentor and coach in several initiatives internationally. As a regular contributor to publications, Zubair has authored articles on the association and healthy coexistence of Fintechs and Banks, which have been published in magazines such as CIO Applications and The Fintech Times (UK) to name a few.
He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin; he started his career as a Facilities Engineer with Oceanic Consultants managing Contracts with Shell Petroleum Development Company. He started his Banking career in 1997 and has over 19 years of working experience spanning banks like Guaranty Trust Bank; Standard Chartered Bank and Fountain Trust Bank.
Peter Kawumi’s career spans over a dozen years with roles in technology, business analysis, and retail banking, including leading the digital finance departments in regional and local banks. He has extensive experience in developing and commercializing products, customer acquisition, digital channel utilization, and scaling plans in consumer services. In his current role as the Country General Manager at Interswitch East Africa (U) Ltd, Peter is championing the use of technology to deliver responsive and responsible financial services to varied market segments including youth, women, and small businesses. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Peter holds a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from Kingston University and a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from the Edinburgh Business School. Peter serves on the Boards of New Vision Group (non-Executive Director), The Leadership Team (non-Executive Director), and the Fintech Association of Uganda (Board Chairman).
Mr. Premier Oiwoh is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS).
He is a seasoned banking professional with over two and half decades of multi-functional and international experience in Banking.
With a broad, deep knowledge and understanding of Business Process Automation, Digital Financial Services, and the Operations/Information Technology sector of the Nigerian Banking Industry, Premier provides the strategic direction in various capacities and overseas the execution of the strategic mandate of NIBSS.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree and MBA; a Member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and an alumnus of several prestigious Nigerian and International Executive Business Schools.
Fara is an experienced technical entrepreneur with significant experience with building and scaling products in emerging markets and venture-backed startups. She has worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies in the USA, including JP Morgan Chase, Fidelity Investments, BMW, and Daimler Mercedes Benz. At Daimler Mercedes Benz, she was responsible for the development of Park2Gether, which is currently being used by over 1 million people. Also, she previously worked as a co-founder and CTO of Shixels Studios, where she led the design and development of core technology for blue-chip clients, including Airtel, AXA Mansard, RenMoney, MTech, Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, and Nestoil. Fara is well versed in over 20 programming languages.
Dayo Ademola is the Managing Director, Nigeria, for Branch International, a San Francisco-based fintech operating in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and India. In this role, she is responsible for achieving
key country metrics for Branch, as well as managing team operations across business functions and driving debt fund raising strategy.
Most recently, Dayo was the Head of Innovation at EFInA, a Financial Sector Development organization focused on promoting Financial Inclusion in Nigeria and funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth
& Development Office (FCDO) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role, she was responsible for the administration of EFInA’s multi-million-dollar Innovation Fund, funding licenced financial services providers as well as start-up and growth-stage fintechs, with an aim to boost financial inclusion in Nigeria.
Dayo is senior financial services and technology professional, with extensive experience in innovation, business strategy, customer segmentation, strategic marketing, product positioning, product
development and business performance management across the software, telecoms and financial services industries. She has held roles in Union Bank, MainOne and Rosetta Stone (USA) amongst others.
With over fifteen years of experience across technology, fintech, banking and financial inclusion, she is passionate about leveraging technology and capital to deepen access to financial services and
wealth for Africans at all levels. Her personal goal is to help build successful and profitable business models that help solve this challenge at scale. Dayo holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Economics from Temple University, USA and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD.

Dr. Segun Aina is a global professional banking leader, internationally rated fintech ecosystem builder, influencer and thought leader, chartered arbitrator, and respected Futurist.
Dr. Aina had three decades of distinguished banking career including six years as a Bank MD/CEO with a focus on innovative digital banking services.
He is former President of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and currently Chairman of Global Banking Education Standards Board. He is a tech-visionary, variously described as Africa’s fintech envoy and Grandmaster having incubated several successful fintech startups some of which now operate across Africa. In addition, he promoted the Fintech Association of Nigeria of which he was the pioneer President as well as the initiator and President of the Africa Fintech Network, among others. Dr. Aina serves on the board of various corporate organizations including Chairman Odu’a Investment Co Ltd, Vice Chairman, Accion Microfinance Bank, and many others.
Dr. Aina is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, INSEAD France, Harvard Business School, IMD Switzerland, Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow of the London Institute of Banking and Finance, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Institute of Directors, Nigerian Institute of Management as well as Member, Toronto Region Board of Trade, Canada, and Canadian Council for Africa.
Mr. Lanre Oladimeji is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Nigeria (FCA), knowledgeable and well experienced financial advisor. He is a graduate of Management & Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, 1994 and obtained his MBA from the same institution in 2006. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 1999, and subsequently became a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), in 2006. He is also an alumnus of the London Business School.
He has over 26 years experience, 24 of which he spent in Zenith Bank Plc, winning multiple awards and recognitions for his brilliant, excellent and highly professional performance on the job. Before joining Zenith Bank Plc, he worked at Pannell Ker Forster (Chartered Accountants, PKF- Kaduna office) and Refuge Insurance Company Ltd.
He joined Zenith Bank Plc in 1997 as an Executive Assistant, in the Funds Transfer Unit of a branch in the bank. His professionalism, competence, integrity and commitment to the objectives of the bank saw him rise through the ranks and currently a Deputy General Manager.
In Zenith Bank, he worked in various departments of the Bank, from Funds Transfer unit, to Internal Control, Credit & Marketing and Telecoms Group. He also headed various branches and zones of the bank from Kofo Abayomi, Bar Beach, Falomo and Ilupeju Zones where he handled key corporate relationships for the bank. He was also the Group Head of Card Business, e-Business and Retail Banking. Lanre currently heads the bank’s Retail Business and also has direct oversight of the bank’s experience centre.
He was appointed Group Head, Retail Banking in 2018 to drive the bank’s retail business.
Mr. Oladimeji is married and has children.
Ran is the Chairman of the Board. As the initiator, he contributes to strategic development and handles legal matters.
Ran has more than 30 years of business and legal experience acquired with an integrated view of legal and economic aspects in local and international markets. He has a law firm that bears his name. Ran’s experience includes both small and large projects, as well as the origination, prototype and finished product stages of each project.
The projects handled by Ran over the years include software solutions, infrastructure, security, Gamma sterilization and others in diverse regions of the world. In some projects he assumed investment positions, generating a successful track record. Ran holds an LL.B. degree from Tel-Aviv University and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Haifa University.

He has over twenty (23) years’ experience in electronic payments, payments technology, strategy and business management.

He has been a integral part of the Fintech revolution in Africa, not only as co-founder of the first African fintech Unicorn, but has also been involved in supporting Fintech companies in various capacities across the continent.
He is an enthusiast of the intelligent use of technology for the transformation of Africa. He has a passion is for creative endeavour and ground breaking innovation. He is responsible for some of the innovations driving the payments industry in Nigeria today. He is a firm believer in the African entrepreneurial spirit.
DR MARKIE IDOWU is the CEO/MD of Xpress Payment Solutions Limited, where she brings on board over 30 years experience in Finance and IT. Prior to this, she was an Executive Director at Polaris Bank where she spent 11 years. She had also worked in GTB, Fidelity, etc as well as served on several company boards including Skye Bank, Mainone Cable Company, Equity Assurance, IHS, and Mainstreet Brokers.
Markie graduated at the age of 19 with a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin and was also the best graduating student in the Faculty of Science. Her academic excellence continued at the University of Aston in Birmingham, United Kingdom where she had a distinction and best result in her Master’s in Software Engineering. She also has an MBA from the Lagos business School and a PhD in Credit management.
Markie is an Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers; A fellow and Vice Chairman of Council of the Institute of Credit Administration. She is a recipient of many academic and professional awards including the prestigious British Chevening Scholar Award.
She has attended several executive programs in top-class institutions including MIT, Harvard, LSE, and INSEAD. Dr. Idowu, an innovative leader, is passionate about economic empowerment and capacity building.

Professor Charles A. Igwe was appointed the 15th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in June 2019. Prior to this, he was a two term Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), UNN (2016 – 2019). He studied Soil Science at UNN (1979–1984) where he obtained his B.Agric degree. He later obtained both MSc (1988) and PhD (1994) degrees in the same discipline in UNN. He also earned numerous other certificates and diplomas both in Agriculture and other areas of learning from institutions within and beyond Africa. These include Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Science from Agricultural University, Norway and Certificate of College on Soil Physics, from the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy in 1993, among others. He has over thirty years of professional and administrative experience with considerable knowledge of project planning and management gained both in academia and the wider industrial sector. He was appointed Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture (2006-2008) and later succeeded his principal as Dean of the same Faculty of Agriculture, UNN, (2008-2010). Beyond Deanship, he has served the University as leader of many statutory bodies, such as Director University Advancement Centre; Director, External Studies Unit; Member University Governing Council as Senate Representative, Member TETFund Committee, UNN, among others.
